What customers say?

“ This is a special little place where the service is friendly and considering Joe is taking orders, serving tables and cooking the food , is amazing. He has created a a relaxed, no pressure vibe and has big open windows ( in Summer). The food is delicious. Every dish was full of flavour and tasted divine. Thank you ”

“ Incredible food. We came on a recommendation from a colleague and the food did not disappoint. Ordered the silken tofu which was spiced perfectly. The beef short rib albeit a little pricy, was cooked perfectly and the sauce goes perfectly with some rice. The rice paper spring rolls were huge and probably the best thing of the night. ”

“ The pink shop sign simply can't be mistaken. It it's not spacious but the vibe was nice & very welcoming. The Hanoi spring rolls exceeded our expectation, crunchy, full of flavours, with a hint of mint / coriander / basil. The Thai fish cakes were different from the usual stuff, it’s not longer bigger in size, but also stronger in flavours (sweet, full of herb spice). The Red curry of BBQ duck with snake beans & sweet basil was a mixed bag. I don’t quite like it, the texture and flavour, may be I was so used to a different style of duck dishes (religiously brainwashed...). Don’t get me wrong, we finished the dish, including the source... Steamed fish fillets, overall I liked it, mouth was full of aftertastes like coconut milk and mixed herbs. Will come back again to try something different on the menu, well done Joe! Recommendation: book in advance, otherwise you’ll have to try you luck. We were lucky to randomly pop in and get seated (~6pm). ”

“ The food here is fresh and delicious. With extra staff assisting Joe, the owner, the dishes come out faster. I love the down-to-earth and simple decor—it gives the feeling of dining in a cozy restaurant somewhere in Southeast Asia. Thai fish cake and duck pancake are my favourites! ”

“ This is a place you go if you want absolutely delicious food that is layered, packed with flavor, and free of any pretentious airs. The two-person team nailed so much of our lunch time experience it is hard to decide where to start. I would say the carmalized pork and coconut rice stole the show, but that undersells the really well done lemongrass chicken that was nicely spicy with a bit of sweetness. Both were outstanding. We also had the duck and prawn pancakes, which were conveniently wrapped in fresh spring roll rice paper. The large order of two was more than enough as a starter. Tthe team at Joe's made our somewhat picky inlaws feel welcome, despite my dear mother in law asking for the friend rice minus the chicken and the vegetables. The service also gets a bump because there was a lunchtime table of like 16 who were all getting food cranked out and somehow the kitchen managed to work us in so we didn't wait very long. Joe's Table feels like a casual date night spot for couples who are already comfortable and just want great food, friends just looking to hang out without needing to be part of a "scene" so to speak, or (as mentioned) business lunch crowds. Although most of my reviews skew positive because I don't feel the need to promote my bad experiences, this is one that stands out as superlative among the meals we've had abroad over the last few months. Local or tourist, I'd really say make a point to visit this spot! ”

“ Less than 2 minutes from home, we've wanted to try Joe's for a while. Finally got there and it didn't disappoint. Wonderful Thai food with the expected heat, and great service from Joe considering he was looking after 20-30 people, cleaning tables, serving tables, and helping to cook. The duck & prawn pancakes were superb, and the Thai fish cakes (more like fish balls) were wonderfully fluffy. We went with the steamed fish (snapper) and the lemongrass chicken for mains and they were 'sneak up on you' spicy. For something different, the patsavoura was a perfect end. A busy place but not too noisy tonight. We'll be back!! ”

“ The food was divine. We were a group of 6 and shared the meals so luckily for us got to try a few of the starters and most of the mains. All were delicious but if forced to choose a highlight it would be the fishcake starters - so light- and then mains it’s a tie between barramundi curry - so fresh - and beef ribs - flavour bomb. Starters were quick and great size servings , then a good break until mains arrived. A great simple space with interesting artwork and friendly service . A token charge for Byo - worth bringing good wine to do the food justice. Can’t wait to go back. ”
